There are three of us behind this website and effort - although we are supported by many community members. None of us expected or planned to be doing this kinda stuff - this one really came out of left field for all of us. Email us at : [email protected] with question or comments about this website. Mike Dorogi - I have lived in Ohio since 2001. I moved here from Vallonia, Indiana for a job at Holophane (where I still work). I have lived "out in the country" all my life - and will not have it any other way. When I moved to Ohio - I had it in my head that I wanted to be a "real" landowner - always a relative thing - so I bought 47 acres out on Brushy Fork Road in 2003. Had a house built in 2005. Funny - you think a new house would not keep me so busy - but since I am a cheap guy - I refuse to pay contractors for something I can do myself. Needless to say - I have built decks, play areas, sheds, retaining walls, etc. You know - all the stuff you do to make a house a home. This can get to be a long story - so I will get to the punch line. I got a call from Tablerock (another out of state firm hired by Enterprise) one evening saying that they are putting a pipeline in and its going to cross my property. Further - that they have the power of eminent domain - and would I please sign this survey agreement thank you very much. So - 60 to 70 man-hours and 6 weeks later - I find myself a somewhat educated pipeline easement guy trying to figure out a way to stop this beast. Trust me - I have much better uses for my time - but when a truck is rolling at you - its kinda a now or never decision. Fortunately, I have some help - in Dave Bonifant - someone even more irate than I about this whole pipeline thing. Dave Bonifant owns 83 acres in Nashport, Ohio. I do not know much about Dave's history - I'll ask him to add something. I am pretty sure he has been in Licking County all his life, and also works at Holophane. I'll get more information from him this coming weekend. After last night's meeting - we decided we need to drink some beers and relax. All this pipeline stuff has us all bent out of shape. Need a re-set..... :) Jason and Angel Black - Jason and Angel, along with their two young kids, just purchased a place out in the country. Now this pipeline threatens their safety and security by crossing their driveway and following their property line on a hill directly above their house. Anyways - long winded way of letting you know - we are just another set of nameless faces you see in your community occassionally. Going about our business, helping out when we can. Now we need your help. Please sign our petition! Stop the pipeline!
